Denver actors and actresses – prepare a serious look for your headshot session.
We photograph a lot of Denver area actors and actresses who ask us how to prepare for their upcoming headshot photo session. It’s important to practice not only a smiling, expressive look, but also a “serious” (engaging, captivating) look that pulls your audience in for more dramatic roles.
Most casting directors want to see more than one side of you. You may actually turn one 8×10 photo into one casting director and a completely different one to another casting director, based on the part you are going for. And many of those parts are for serious roles.
Practice your “serious” look in the mirror. The most important element of the shot will be in your eyes and in your expression. Think of a word you want to convey and hold onto that word as you make your expression.
